Successful Completion of the Fruit Festival 2023 of the Department of Sociology and Anthropology
It is our enormous pleasure to inform you that like every year, the Department of Sociology and Anthropology of Green University of Bangladesh had arranged Fruit Festival this year on Thursday, 15 June 2023 in room no 309 in the Permanent Campus. Dr. Abul Hossain, Chairperson of the Department Sociology and Anthropology presided over the program. The program started at 11 am in the morning where the Honorable Vice Chancellor of Green University of Bangladesh Professor Dr. Golam Samdani Fakir dignified as the Chief guest of the program. Moreover, some special guests of different colleges who make the program significant by giving their valuable speech.

The special guests were the Principal of Abdul Haque Bhuiyan International College- Ferdousara khan and other faculty members of this college, Md. Masum Billah, Assistant Professor, Sociology Department and Md. Abdus Salam, Assistant Professor, Psychology Department of Salimuddin Chowdhury College, Rupuganj, Narayanganj.The program became more vibrant by the presence of the Director, Dr. Muhammad Aminur Rahaman, Assistant Proctor, Dr. Mohammad Delwar Hussain and Md. Solaiman Mia, Student Affairs of the Permanent Campus of Green University of Bangladesh who delivered a valuable speech in the program.
In his speech at the beginning of the program, Honourable Vice Chancellor, Professor Dr. Golam Samdani Fakir gave emphasis on organizing these kinds of unique activities more to create social bonding and interaction for our surroundings. After that, Md. Abdus Salam, Assistant Professor, Psychology Department of Salimuddin Chowdhury College reflected on the importance of the folk activities that energize students more to contribute to the society. Moreover, Ferdousara khan, Principal of Abdul Haque Bhuiyan International College expressed her gratitude and encouraged to arranged such events continuously.

After their valuable speech, the guests participated to enjoy eating the fruits together and then, fruits in a plate were distributed among the students.
More than fifteen kinds of delicious fruits (Mango, Jackfruit, lichi, dragon fruit, apple, grape, malta, pineapple, java palm, guava, cherry, papaya, Jamrul, pomegranate,banana and muskmelon) were displayed and distributed among our respected guests and students. They were in a festival mood and enjoyed the social gathering a lot. Unlike the hot weather temperature, the fragrance and aroma of these delicious fruits displayed on the stage drove everyone cheerful and buoyant.
All the Faculty members of the department were also presented in this program. The spontaneous participation of the students of this department made this program lively and joyful and also this program strengthened the social capital with the special guest which makes the program more meaningful.
