Successful Completion of Seminar and MoU Signing Ceremony of the Department of Sociology & Anthropology

It’s our immense pleasure to announce that the Department of Sociology and Anthropology has successfully organized a Seminar on Seasonality, Academic Calendar and School drop-outs in South Asia followed by a MoU Signing Ceremony Program at City Campus on 7th December, 2022.

The Keynote Speaker of the session was Dr. Abu S. Sonchoy, Associate Professor of Florida International University. Honourable Vice Chancellor and respected Dean of GUB delivered their valuable speech as Discussants in the Seminar. Besides, there was an MoU signing ceremony between the Department of Sociology and Anthropology and MOMODa Foundation.The chairman and Executive Director of the MOMODa Foundation were also present there. At the end, the chairperson of the department of Sociology and Anthropology conveyed some remarks on the event. This MoU will contribute to help students in developing research based training, internship opportunities and career building. Throughout this program, participants had enriched their knowledge regarding the disciplines, scopes and opportunities of research activities from the respected Keynote speaker and other discussants of the program. This program contributed to learning research based knowledge generation among students.
