The vision of Sociology and Anthropology Department of GUB is to be a department of high reputation with regard to creation, dissemination and application of knowledge in social sciences to promote social development in the country.

Mission Statement

The mission of the department is to prepare the students with scientific understandings of social life, strong sociological imaginations and critical thinking through teaching, scholarship, and service for facing the challenges of the 21st century and also to equip them to be skilled professionals and socially engaged citizens. We are striving to maintain a vibrant and inclusive learning environment where faculty members, staff, and students are respected and where their contributions are fairly recognized.
