Successful Completion of the Freshers’ Orientation Program of the Dept. of Sociology & Anthropology (Fall-2023)
On behalf of the department, I feel delighted to inform you that on September 17, 2023, the Fresher’s Reception event was successfully organized by the Department in association with Green University Social Bonding Club.
The program started off promptly at 2 pm in room 101 of the Annex (G) building following every aspect of official guidelines. The program began with the introductory session of the freshers and all the faculties of the department welcomed them in a pleasant way with distinctive gifts (Mug, Flower and Welcome Card).
After that, in the speech session, Md. Saiful Islam, the Honourable Registrar, served as the program’s Chief guest, expressed his cheerfulness to enjoy such allover handmade decorations and also featured a commitment regarding the university’s efforts to make studying here comfortable and enjoyable.
Prof. Dr. Abul Hossain, the head of the sociology and anthropology department delivered an informative and visionary speech towards the students.. There was also an introduction of all the faculty members. Students received all pertinent information concerning registration, the class schedule, and other topics from Mr. Humayun Kabir, the program coordinator and lecturer of the department. The current students were there, too, in addition to the freshmen.
A small-scale cultural event was held, and students spontaneously showed up for their amusement and delightful performance. The chair of the department, Prof. Dr. Abul Hossain, delivered a few closing remarks regarding the occasion. Hopefully, this program will enhance the solidarity and interaction among faculty members and students in the department.
